Teams stall on AI doc projects waiting for procurement or infra tickets. Oprag Starter is designed for evaluation: sign up without a credit card, upload docs, use the dashboard and full REST API, and prove citation quality before you commit budget.

What Starter includes

  • Document upload and indexing on Oprag’s AWS
  • Dashboard chat with page-level citations
  • Full /v1/chat API access (same schema as Pro)
  • 500 queries per month — enough for golden question sets and a small staging embed

You are not on a crippled trial that hides the API behind a paywall.

Evaluation workflow (week one)

Day 1 — Sign up and upload

Create one project with representative docs — not your entire drive. Start with the FAQ cluster that hurts most.

Day 2–3 — Dashboard validation

Run 20–30 real user questions. Score correctness and citations. See validate document Q&A before launch.

Day 4 — API smoke test

Proxy one endpoint from your backend. Confirm response shape matches API docs. Guide: integrate document Q&A with REST.

Day 5 — Stakeholder review

Show support or founders answers with citations expanded. Decide go/no-go on embed or integration.

When to upgrade to Pro

Move to Pro when:

  • Query volume exceeds Starter limits in production
  • You need higher monthly caps for a live embed
  • Multiple projects require sustained traffic

Stay on Starter while iterating on doc quality — upgrading does not fix bad corpora.

Compare to DIY cost

Starter lets you measure answer quality before hiring for RAG platform work. Read DIY RAG vs managed document Q&A for build vs buy framing.

Common questions

Is my data isolated? Yes — per company and project on Oprag’s AWS. See security.

Do I need my own AWS account? No. You integrate via API and dashboard; Oprag hosts the stack.

Can I embed on Starter? Yes — validate traffic against monthly query limits before wide rollout.

Start now

Sign up, upload, validate citations, then integrate. Skip the credit card until you are confident in answers — not before you have tested them.
